Example training programme

Programme Rationale

The programme is roughly divided into 4 parts.

The first day will develop the skills needed to stream a live broadcast on the second morning of the programme.

Following the live programme there will be an opportunity to debrief and evaluate the content of the programme and also the production process underpinning it.

The second afternoon will include some additional technical workshops on post production editing and creating pre recorded content.

The final session will focus on mechanisms for engaging young people and mapping out the specific project activities for the next 3 – 6 months.

Note:

All timings are approximate as the individual sessions will be fitted around the actual work in progress and will respond to the particular needs of the individuals creating and delivering programme content.

For this reason, it may be that individuals will not have the opportunity to do every practical session – especially as some will, of necessity, run in parallel. However, the aim is that by the end of the programme the team will collectively have the skills to train young people to produce internet radio.
